Overall, without spy-/adware, no one can see what info is on your pc or what your pc is doing. Kazaa hides everything but the shared folder so users can't access your pc in another way. The firewall doesn't have to be operational. Also, I think you can configure Kazaa somewhere in a way that you can tell your virusscanner to scan anything that is being downloaded (at least, I can with iMesh), overall, the newer versions of Norton (2002 and higher) automaticly detect if any new file contains a virus or not. There used to be a way with an older version of Winamp, but that was only when you used the minibrowser. It works nearly exactly like a virusscanner but it also does a reg-scan.Ģ) There is no way a virus can cause harm to your system in mp3 (it will always need an executable, pif or bat as far as I know).
